With Emily and David returning back from their adventures in Scotland and the US a few months ago, and the sale of the family's beloved but time consuming business in Sydney, all hands are now on deck at Joadja and progress is under way. Apart from our new and improved, work in progress website, here are three exciting things out of a million that are currently happening in Joadja:
- We are expecting our new Wash Still to be delivered in the next month, which will ramp up production and keep our lonely Spirit Still company in the distillery. The still is being made by our new friends Brendan and Cameron Firth and their crafty team in Minto. Brendan and Cameron are a father and son team, and we here at Joadja believe in supporting family businesses like ours. We all can't wait for the still to arrive and are hoping to have it ready for mid-October for the Launch of the Joadja Cluster (see below).
- We are collaborating with 12 other local businesses in the Southern Highlands to develop the Joadja Food and Wine (and spirits) Cluster, which we will be hosting the Launch for in mid-October. We are so excited to be working with our neighbours to raise awareness for the unique businesses we have down in the Southern Highlands. From Alpaca meat to fine wines, to wedding venues and heritage, theres a lot to offer. Please visit the following website for more information on the participating businesses and to plan your next trip to the Southern Highlands:
- The Australian has published a story in The Australian Weekend about Joadja Distillery and Joadja Town. Look out for us in this weekends edition in the Life section. The article is titled "Malt Whisky and Spanish Blood". If you've missed out on the paper, just click on the link below to have a read:
